About the Studio

The Makeup Studio

Located in the heart of Federal Hill Providence, a city rich in Italian heritage, amazing restaurants and charming shops. Jeremy Stone, an award winning makeup artist and a Rhode Island Native, recently decided to open Jeremy Stone Artistry. Currently open by appointment only the sophisticated studio features vintage refinished furniture, imported antique chandeliers, trailing plants and artwork by the artist himself. modern state of the art equipment blends seamlessly into the carefully curated vision for the space. Neutral wall tones, soft lighting and music create a truly romantic and relaxing atmosphere.

After an extensive search to try to find a makeup chair that fit his aesthetic, the vintage furniture, and beautiful environment Jeremy finally found one that he loved on the border of New York. the firefighter selling the chair had salvaged it approximately 40 years ago from a NYC factory. He cleaned up the chair and honored its legacy by keeping it in fantastic condition. he recalled his now grown grandchildren playing on it and lovingly referring to it as the “time machine”. The chair, originally made around 1895 still has the working hydraulics, wooden base and many of its original parts. Jeremy has plans to restore the chair and reupholster it with modern materials (stay tuned for updates) .

A vintage display case full of House of Cach bridal jewelry is flanked by reupholstered antique chairs in a bold zebra print. Flowering plants and greenery make a relaxing environment for family and friends to observe the makeup & hair styling and participate in the development of the final look.

One of the unique and interesting things about jeremy is his artistic eye across various mediums. He says that his drawing’s help him to better understand facial structures, symmetry, detail and shading. originally styled by Jeremy Stone and photographed by Daniel Gagnon, the resulting images served as the inspiration for Jeremy’s pencil drawings pictured above.

Multiple styling stations allow for artists to create hair and makeup looks simultaneously or independently. The stations, once part of a vintage bedroom collection were sanded, stained, and topped with durable glass. Gilded italian sconces and a chandelier were added to create a soft glow throughout the studio.

The House of Cach showroom

Conveniently attached to Jeremy’s studio is the House of Cach showroom. A clean and modern space, with original hardwoods, and crisp white displays that showcase a selection of the unique and creative designs by its founder Alexa Cach. The multifunctional space has the ability to easily convert in a photography studio, corporate meeting area, and workspace for large scale projects. Featured in this section are bridal collections, one of a kind wearable art pieces, custom jewelry and images from collaborative shoots between Alexa and other various artists, Jeremy included. Jewelry pieces may simply be admired from behind the glass enclosures, or guests are encouraged to try on the pieces as they are also available for purchase.

The House of Cach Workshop

this is an interesting behind the scene perspective of where all the House of Cach jewelry is designed and handcrafted. It is an artisan’s dream workshop and capable of combining various raw materials to create truly one of a kind works of art. The space itself is rugged and fully equipped with neatly organized tools, power equipment work stations and sturdy work benches. Other areas of the workshop feature a clean modern office space, a kitchen designated for chemical processes, fabric dying, etc. and access to the beautifully redesigned backyard area.

Custom work benches are anchored to concrete flooring and create stations for jewelry polishing, metal smithing and cutting. neatly labeled drawers house various metal working tools, sewing threads and machine parts.

A modern outdoor space is easily accessed from the workshop and eventually will serve as a beautiful location for outdoor wedding trials and meetings. The outdoor space is expected to be completed in the spring of 2020.

A chic white office area is offset by an dark antique wooden drafting table repurposed as a fabric cutting table and work surface.
